Success at Moreton Morrell for Team CROWN!

What a day we had on Sunday 20th January for team CROWN! Huge thank you to Wayne and his fabulous team at Moreton Morrell for a fantastic day, they always put on such great events and we absolutely love competing there!

As ever, we never like to do things by halves, and we descended on Moreton Morrell with 28 CROWN horses and riders! We had a super successful day with our senior 70cm team placing 4th (Claire Wells, Kc M Hains, Rebecca Smith-Kettle and Clare Taylor Reeves) and a win individually for Claire Wells, team 5th for the CROWN Carats in the senior 90 (Lucie Scopes, Emma Copeman, LadyClare Shuckburgh and Jo Poultney), team 4th for the CROWN Coutiers (Helen Grace Bing, Lily Oyamburu, Jennie Bennett Ragg and Jessica Doidge) plus individual 5th for Jess too! The ribbons kept on coming with our CROWN Rubies (Ellen Goodwin, Morgan Shelley, Zoe Young and Lulu Oyamburu) who only went an WON the 100 with Morgan placing 1st individually, Zoe 3rd, Ellen 6th and Lulu 7th! There were some super double clears too from Stacey Henderson, newbies Charlie Hands and Ellie Miller and our 110 ladies (Jacky Beavan and Ellen Goodwin) jumped two brilliant rounds for just a pole each!

Everyone did SO well, whether the day went to plan or not everyone finished with big smiles and with a positive outlook on things to work on before the next competition! As always it was a joy to spend my day with our team members and even more special to ride alongside them, all although it does mean I don’t get to watch them all but I’m forever thankful to all our supporters who came along to watch and help.  We really do always have a laugh on our team trips out and the support for one another is second to none! So if you would like to join us please do!  I’m so excited for 2019 for our teams and already can’t wait until the next one next month at Solihull for the winter qualifiers.

Well done all! #CROWNontour
